Military and dive inflatable boats are relatively light to transport and easily launched from river banks or beaches. Inflatable boats can be transported inflated or deflated and can be launched from larger craft or air dropped. Inflatable boats are selected for diving operations as they provide a low stable platform which assists divers to enter and exit the water.
